The PC-6 cable includes dual angled MMCX connectors with a notch for locking into Etymotic's IEMs. This is a balanced capable modular cable, terminated to a female 4-pin mini-XLR, compatible with our entire Interconnect Line. On the newest versions of this cable we've added a chin slider and implemented a smaller hardware splitter. Be on the lookout as we change the color available for these cables on a monthly basis.
Balanced? Unbalanced?
The way to think about our modular cables in this regard is that they're balanced capable. Meaning if you connect the cable to an unbalanced interconnect, the IEM cable + interconnect assembly is unbalanced. If you connect the cable to a balanced interconnect, the IEM cable + interconnect assembly is balanced. Refer to the table below for info on which ICs are balanced or not.
